Secretary of State John Merrill is in charge of elections in Alabama. Alabama requires voters to present ID to cast a ballot, so his office provides free voter ID cards to anyone who needs one. To schedule an appointment, Alabamians can call his office or visit any of the mobile voter ID drives that they host throughout the year. They visit all 67 counties at least once a year. Prison ID is also an acceptable form of voter ID, as is a driver's license. This map pinpoints where visitors can park, at the Avenue of Flags.
SECRETARY OF STATE JOHN MERRILL'S OFFICE
In Alabama, voters must cast their ballot at an assigned polling location. Every year, the state sends out cards to registered voters informing them of their designated voting station. This is a map of all of the voting stations in Tuscaloosa County. If you have been convicted of a non-disqualifying crime, like drug possession or DUI, you never lost your right to vote and can cast a ballot at your designated location if you are registered. If you are heading to vote, make sure you have your photo ID ready to present.
